WHY ‘JOY’ ETC.?

Two-fold Meaning of ‘Joy…in the Morning’ etc.

When Christian Growth Ministries, Inc., embraced the vision of presenting Dotty Moore’s popular inspirational column “Joy…in the Morning” at this Web site a tremendous opportunity emerged for a wide range of additional ministry possibilities.

That’s why, here at www.joyinthemorningetc.org the “etc.” clearly stands for etcetera, etcetera, referring to the “Joy…in the Morning” column plus a whole lot more.

We prayerfully chose a varied menu of encouraging pieces and activities (which will be updated periodically) geared toward equipping individuals for strength-endurance of body, mind and soul – all for the ultimate purpose of creating an atmosphere for sharing the Gospel.

Therefore, the larger meaning of “etc.” is “ETERNITY THROUGH CHRIST.” This Internet ministry is not only one of encouragement; it is especially a place to draw near to Jesus Christ.

What Does This Web Site Offer?

The more we pray, discuss with others and develop selections to present here, the more clearly our vision comes into focus:

We want to offer hope and encouragement to people of all ages, including kids in search of a safe place to grow and have fun.

We want to promote a healthy attitude surrounding enthusiastic pursuit of a relationship with Christ. We believe this pursuit is enhanced through studying God’s Word and reflecting on insights gleaned there along with a pure and simple enjoyment of our Lord and His glorious creations.

At www.joyinthemorningetc.org the original intent of the “Joy…in the Morning” column remains intact – providing a down-to-earth, home-like environment for sharing God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit through every-day-life experiences, insights and activities. We seek the Lord’s guidance to accomplish our goals and purposes through reading and studying His Word the Bible and through prayer.
