Prayers for Today
Prayer is personal between each of us and Our Lord. The Prayers for Today are merely springboards for prayer anytime, any day.
Dear Heavenly Father,
It’s a bit drab out today. The clouds are heavy and the rain is falling. I don’t feel much like singing. But I know the sun is shining above the clouds, thus I remember the song Heavenly Sunshine.

Dear Lord,
A friend is hurting from the death of a loved one. I can’t think of myself right now. Please help them through their sorrow and feel Your presence. Allow them to be comforted by your word:
But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?" 1Corinthians 15:54-55 NASB

Dear Lord,
I find myself asking You to take “it” away. I hear You telling me to “give it up.” Why do I struggle with keeping my concerns? You’ve proven to me over and over that You care and that You’re there. Please don’t ever let me forget that You are the potter—I am the clay. I can’t manipulate You!

Our Heavenly Father,
I was thinking about Your words to the disciples today and was reminded that I don’t pray Your prayer enough: Matthew 6:9-13. KJV
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen
Dear Lord,
Life can be so frustrating! It seems that “it” just won’t slow down. I search Your Word for peace. Oh yes, there it is. Thanks Lord.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV
